6-male idol group BOYFRIEND has debuted on the music industry.
Boyfriend consists of the ‘K. Will backdancer’ and IU’s famous young lover, Minwoo, flower-boy twins, Youngmin and Kwangmin, Jungmin who resembles Yoo Seungho, is a 6-member idol group. Prior to their debut, the members with flower-boy looks has caught all the attentions of the female fans.
It has been 26 days since their debut in M.Net Countdown. Two days in a week, the boys were on stage again and again and the six smiling-boys said with a smile ‘Ever since the first week of our debut, all was hard and puzzling but everything is just fun’.
Boyfriend began their busy schedule at 4am. At 5am they go to the beauty shop, located in Seoul, for hair and makeup. After that, at 9.30am, they went to MBC ‘Show! Music Core’ at Carribean Bay in Yongin, for a pre-recording.
Despite their busy schedule, they will never lose their smile. Donghyun said, ‘Our schedule starts from the early morning until late at night but to debut is like a dream itself’ and added, ‘We are unaware of everyday passing just like that, but it is fun.’
Boyfriend, with their flower-boy appearance and baby charms, captivated the hearts of female fans when on stage. Because of that, they got various nicknames like ‘boyfriend-dol’, ‘boy version of SNSD’, ‘cutey smiles’ and ‘paper-dol’. Less than a week, Boyfriend popularity is rapidly rising.
The members glow as their did their splendid debut appearance. Paper doll like dazzling appearance, the point choreoghraphy ‘aegyo dance’ has captivate the female fans, as it offers a youthful stage.
‘The ‘aegyo dance’ is charming as it used the hands and shoulder of a boyfriend to charm their girlfriend,’ Minwoo explained the dance.
The twins, Kwangmin and Youngmin, received a lot of attentions since before their debut. The big brother, Youngmin, ‘Thank you so much for the already hot response. We are twins, so to be on the same stage is a surprise.’
The two child actors have been doing CFs and modelling in more than 300 CF, ranging from communication (cellphones..etc), clothing and also the many faces in variety of food and beverage products.
Youngmin, especially, showed an outstanding appearance as a child actor in side-by-side with Jang Donggun (T/N: stars in Iris). Jang Donggun’s first win of the Hollywood movie, ‘Way Warriors’ is where Youngmin had appeared before.
Now both twins has debuted as singers, revealed a childhood memory. Youngmin said, ‘our current work in two of our films and TV appearances, as well as CF models are interesting work,’ and added, ‘Kwangmin once got wounded when I pinch him during one of our shooting,’ with a laugh.
Kwangmin that day, has a sudden injury and was rush to a hospital. ‘During the week before our intro performance rehearsal, I folded and injured my right thumb,’ Kwangmin said.
At the hospital, he was diagnosed with a traumatic ligament rupture and was checked into the hospital to find more of the injury.
Despite the injury, Kwangmin still brings on a perfect stage in the broadcast even though he was stopped by the hospital.
On last week M.Countdown, they debuted safely and today in their second stage they are expected to be more known to public and more activities will start to flood in.
They have a strong determination since the first week of their debut. The members said ‘Like our team name, we are going to be the nuna fans’ Boyfriend’ with sparkles in their eyes.
Even the staffs behind BOYFRIEND is the best. SISTAR’s debut album ‘How Dare You’, Son Dambi’s ‘Going Crazy’ was written by the hitmaker, Brave Brothers and their dance choreographer DQ has also choreographed for Rain, 4Minute and Beast before.
Nuna fans supported the colorful debut of BOYFRIEND who had their debut tittle song name same as their group name, which is still ongoing.
